Abstract:

The author presents a continuous graph approach for certain generalizations of the Cuntz-Krieger algebras. Such algebras are simple, nuclear, and purely infinite, and possess a rich K-theory. They are linked to the dynamics of a shift on an infinite path space.We present the continuous graph approach for some generalizations of the Cuntz-Krieger algebras. Several interesting examples occur when the vertex spaces are unions of tori if the shift is not necessarily expansive. It is also shown how the algebra of a continuous graph could be regarded or defined as a Pimsner algebra.
