- Abstract:
- The paper provides a novel axiomatic notion of distance based on order convergence in \Lukasiewicz-Moisil algebras, together with an associated concept of Cauchy sequence. The special proper class of proper LM_n -- algebras with Lukasiewicz distance is also studied. The relationships to Boolean algebras are considered via the canonical adjunction. In selected cases of axiomatic distances characterizations of Cauchy completions are also provided.
