- Abstract:
- This review paper describes octonions and their relation to Clifford algebras and spinors, Bott periodicity, projective and Lorentzian geometry, Jordan algebras, and the exceptional Lie groups. Octonions are in general non-associative, non-commutative algebraic structures (normed division algebras). Some suggestions are also made concerning the potential physical applications of octonions in quantum logic, special relativity and supersymmetry.
