- Abstract:
- This is an outline, or Monograph, of three lectures on Descent and Galois Theory presented by G. Janelidze at Haute-Bodeux (Belgium) in June 2007. Categorical Descent and Galois Theory studies are 'purely' categorical, "essentially Yoneda invariant, constructions involving an adjoint pair of functors between categories with 'sufficiently many' pullbacks..., it is powerful enough to contain various important Galois theories as special cases, including the classical one."
