Thanks for your reply. Interestingly enough the equation does have a pi in the denominator. This is how the code reads: $\displaystyle {\bf B} = \frac{\mu_0 I \hat{{\bf k}}}{2 \pi r} $.

Thanks again for your response. I just wanted to make sure I was solving for the B field correctly. I'm glad I came across your site -- it's helped a lot.
