While we're at it, there's also the resistance
of the meter.  In this problem, it should be
negligible, but it is worth remembering at least
in principle.  When trying to make high precision
measurements or dealing  with really large or
very small resistances, the resistance of the
meter can no longer be safely ignored and must be
taken into account or some null method devised
to minimize the role of the meter or separate it
from the circuit under examination.
