In part (b), I understand that a day resembles angular displacement of the earth by 2*pie radians.

Since angular velocity is constant, and in both cases the displacement is 2*pie so t1 = 2*pie/w1   and   t2 = 2*pie/w2 , and t2 = t1 + c (where c is the answer in part (a) ).

so 2*pie/w2 = 2*pie/w1 + c ==> w1 = w2 + (c/2*pie)w1w2 = w2 (1 + ((c/2*pie) w1)

w2 = w1 / (1 + ((c/2*pie) w1))

From this expression, how can I answer part (b)?
