Trying to visualize 1J of the transfer of energy is difficult without understanding the methods of transfer which I have added to the article.  I would like to add some examples in the near future to help give the reader more intuition into the amount of transferred energy.  Please feel free to give more suggestion or if the new article isn't very clear.  Thanks for your input.

No, I really cannot visualize the heat transfer of 1 Joule.  Usually, I think of it by thinking in calories, ie how much does it take to raise temp of water, but I this is insufficient.  One could probably make a decent analogy with atoms 'bouncing' around and exchanging energy between objects.  Not sure if this is the way to go yet.
