Viewing Correction to 'derivation of Coulomb's Law from Gauss' Law'
|
Deriving Coulomb's Law from Gauss' Law by MHyman Correction id: 62 Filed on: 2010-11-15 17:42:58 Status: Accepted on 2011-02-03 00:09:44 Type: Erratum
Correction text:
I believe that the example given has an error. The integral should be over the surface area--where the field has a constant magnitude--rather than one which evaluates the volume. Evaluation of the triple integral in the example yields a 2PI term rather than one with 4PI. Sincerely, MHyman | No comment from object owner victor_phb.
